SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KGO) -- Santa Clara city leaders will discuss when to cut off fans from drinking at 49ers home games.
It's a proposal to stop selling alcohol at halftime at Levi's Stadium.
A beating after a Niners' Monday night game earlier this season is prompting the discussion. That is just one of at least 24 assaults at Levi's Stadium since the venue opened last year.
City staff have been studying what other stadiums are doing, and will present their findings Tuesday night.
Council members will discuss a ban, but are not expected to vote on anything yet.
