For those of you looking at the golden years, a new survey reveals the best and the worst places to retire.

Bankrate.com looked at the cost of living, taxes, health care, crime, and of course the all-important weather to make its list.

The best state to retire is Wyoming, followed by Colorado, Utah, Idaho, and Virginia.

At the bottom of the list are Arkansas, New York, Alaska, West Virginia, and Louisiana.

As for California, the Golden State didn't even make the top 10 of either list. Neither did Florida, which is known as a retirement hotspot.
