Berkeley I-80 freeway shooting leaves 3 hurt

BERKELEY, Calif. (KGO) -- A shooting on eastbound Interstate Highway 80 sent three people to a hospital early Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The shooting took place around 3 a.m. Saturday, forcing the closure of the eastbound lanes of I-80 near Gilman Street until about 6 a.m.

The shooting victims were able to transport themselves to a local hospital.

The shooting remains under investigation.
