SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- There have been a lot of studies about the dangers of tanning beds, but it turns out they can cause more problems than just skin cancer.

A new study from the CDC says tanning beds sent thousands of patients to the emergency room for minor injuries last year.

Those patients suffered from fainting spells, eye injuries, skin burns and even injuries to the muscles and bones.
