Gas leak in SF triggers evacuations in Inner Sunset
A gas leak triggered evacuations in the Inner Sunset on Irving Street between 7th and 8th Avenue.

SAN FRANCISCO -- A gas leak in San Francisco's Inner Sunset neighborhood Friday morning has been stopped, evacuations and a shelter-in-place order lifted, fire officials said.



As of 10:24 a.m. the leak at 621 Irving Street had been stopped. Fire officials said no injuries were reported.



A one-inch gas line ruptured during a street construction project.



Police and firefighters are going door to door to tell residents that the emergency is over.
