SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- San Francisco police are one step closer to solving a hit-and-run from September.

They credit a tip from ABC7 News for helping them track down a vehicle that they say may have been involved.

Police are in the process of interviewing the truck's owner.

The crash happened on Sept. 13 near San Jose Avenue and Rice Street in the Outer Mission neighborhood.

Police say a man was critically hurt after being hit.
