NORCIA, Italy -- Rescue workers in Italy made a remarkable discovery on Monday when they pulled a dog from the rubble following this weekend's powerful earthquake.

Video released by Italian firefighters shows the dog being slowly and carefully rescued from the rubble in Norcia.
The 6.6 magnitude earthquake struck Norcia on Sunday morning, leaving 15,000 people homeless and destroying the 14th century Basilica of St. Benedict.
Fortunately, no one was killed or seriously hurt.
