KNOW AND TELL: Clerk scares off armed robber with bigger knife

FALL RIVER, Mass. (KGO) -- What started out as a scary attack turned into a modern day duel when a robber armed with a knife attacked a store clerk armed with an even bigger knife. And it was all caught on camera!

Watch the guy with the mask. He jumped on the counter and pulled out a knife on the store owner in Massachusetts.

What the robber didn't expect was for the clerk to pull out his own knife -- a bigger one!

Just like that, he evened the playing field.

With a fistful of money in one hand, the clerk fought back. The two kept swinging and came dangerously close.

This fight happened at 9 a.m. and it's incredible that neither got cut.

Eventually, the clerk threw $300 in cash and the knife at the intruder.
