Dog found abandoned in Mill Valley needs home

MILL VALLEY, Calif. (KGO) -- A dog found abandoned in a dumpster behind a Mill Valley Safeway is doing well.

The poodle mix was found by a security guard at the Strawberry Village Shopping Center earlier this month. The dog was dirty and in shock.

The Marin Humane Society shared these photos of the poodle mix before and after it was cleaned and went through a haircut.

The dog was given the name Mozzarella because that's the first thing he would eat after being found.

The Marin Humane Society says Mozzarella is in need of a caring home.
