'Modern Family' episode to be shot on iPhone, iPad

Next week's episode of Modern Family will look different than any other episode.

Almost the entire show was shot on iPhones and iPads and takes place on a computer screen.

Claire and Phil are in an airport and can't find their daughter Haley after a flight.

Soon the entire family starts texting, e-mailing and Face Timing each other.

The producers say they wanted to represent how most modern American families communicate today.

The episode called Connection Lost airs next Wednesday, February 25 at 9 p.m. on ABC and WATCH ABC App.
