Shooting reported aboard Muni in SF Bayview District

SAN FRANCISCO -- A shooting occurred Monday afternoon on a San Francisco Municipal Railway light-rail vehicle in the city's Bayview District, a Muni spokesman said.

Muni officials received reports of the shooting at 12:23 p.m. on a T-Third light-rail vehicle near Third Street and Palou Avenue, according to Muni spokesman Paul Rose.

The shooting suspect and victim were both passengers on the Muni vehicle, Rose said. He did not know the condition of the victim or whether the suspect had been arrested.

San Francisco police were not immediately available to provide more information about the shooting jury.
