Video shows Los Angeles County inmates save fellow inmates with Narcan

LOS ANGELES (KGO) -- Video from a jail in Los Angeles County shows inmates rushing to save the lives of two fellow inmates.

They used Narcan to save two others who had overdosed.

The sheriff's department recently started a program that allows for inmates to have access to medication.

Inmates have to watch an instructional video on how to administer it.

Narcan can be highly effective against an opioid overdose.
