Airbnb raffle includes housing, private jet for solar eclipse

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- National Geographic and Airbnb are partnering to give two eclipse enthusiasts a unique viewing opportunity.

They're raffling off a two night adventure. It begins with a free stay in a custom geodesic dome located in the Oregon wilderness.

The next day, you'll board a private jet, where you'll fly over the Pacific Ocean, and fly along what's called the "Path of Totality."

And, that's not all! You'll share the experience with internationally recognized astronomer Dr. Jedidah Isler.

To enter the contest, you must submit a 50- to 550-character response to the following question: "On August 21, 2017, millions of people from all walks of life will come together along a narrow band of the US, united by the desire to experience a rare astronomical event: a total solar eclipse. Tell us why you think this phenomenon is bringing people together, and why you want to be a part of it?"
