SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A crowdfunding campaign is now underway to finish the official Batkid documentary, called "Batkid Begins."

A glimpse of the film, which is still in the works, has been posted on YouTube.

The Bay Area filmmakers behind the project are turning to fans worldwide to raise $100,000.

Proceeds from the film and soundtrack will go to the Batkid Fund, which is supported by the family of 5-year-old leukemia survivor Miles Scott, and will benefit Make-A-Wish and other charities.

The filmmakers hope to launch it in Nov., the anniversary of when San Francisco made Batkid's wish come true.

Pledges begin at $5.If you'd like to help, click here.
