A cattle drive made its way through Pleasanton Friday to help start the Alameda County Fair.

PLEASANTON, Calif. (KGO) -- A real live cattle drive is making its way right down Main Street in Pleasanton. It's the first time the Alameda County Fair has brought a cattle drive through the city's downtown. It includes about 60 riders and 150 steers.

All part of the fair's opening day festivities, which starts today and goes through July 9. The theme is Western Weekend, highlighting Pleasanton's colorful wild west heritage.
