Oakland police investigating after ice cream vendor fatally shot

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Police are investigating after an ice cream vendor was fatally shot in East Oakland on Saturday afternoon.

Police say Jasvir Singh, 45, was shot near Peach Street and 92nd Avenue shortly after 4:30 p.m. Saturday and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are trying to figure out a motive for the killing, police said.

No one has been arrested for the shooting.
