SAN PABLO, Calif. (KGO) -- Police shot at, but did not hit, two robbery suspects in San Pablo.

The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at the San Pablo Motel on San Pablo Avenue. Police were serving a search warrant as part of an armed robbery investigation.

Witnesses say they heard at least half a dozen gunshots.

"I saw the cops hiding on the fence, like pointing at the hotel, and I saw another cop with a tear gas gun, Then there was another cop right here," Randy Santos said.

Police say someone inside the hotel room pulled a gun and officers fired at them. No one was injured.

Two people were taken into custody.
