SF's Embarcadero station reopens following medical emergency and equipment problem, agency says

SAN FRANCISCO -- BART said it has resumed normal service Saturday morning after an medical emergency closed the Embarcadero station.

The Embarcadero station fully reopened just before 11 a.m.

BART temporarily halted service to and from San Francisco earlier in the morning due to both the medical emergency and an equipment problem at the station.

BART later confirmed a person has died and "no foul play is suspected."

Muni provided service between the Embarcadero and Daly City.

While AC Transit provided service from 19th St. Oakland, Lake Merritt and Berkeley stations.

This comes as people head to UC Berkeley for College GameDay between Cal and the Miami Hurricanes.
