SAN JOSE, Calif. -- San Jose police are looking for a man who donned sunglasses during the armed robbery of a bank inside a Safeway store late Friday morning in west San Jose, a police spokeswoman said.

At 11:34 a.m. Friday, the suspect entered the U.S. Bank inside the Safeway at 1530 Hamilton Ave., brandished a black handgun and demanded cash, police Sgt. Heather Randol said.

The man, who wore black sunglasses with orange frames, then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and has not been apprehended, Randol said.

He is described as a white man between 25 and 30 years old who is 5 feet 7 inches tall with a light complexion, his hair in a short "flat top" style and was wearing blue jeans, police said.
