All Interstate 680 lanes reopen in Cordelia area after brush fire

CORDELIA, Calif. -- All lanes of northbound and southbound Interstate 680 have reopened after a brush fire in the center divide closed the roadway in both directions at Marshview Road south of Fairfield in Solano County Wednesday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol said.

Smoke stopped traffic in both lanes of the highway, according to the CHP.

The fire was reported at Lake Herman Road at Lopes Road in the Benicia area around 4:30 p.m. and spread to northbound Interstate Highway

680, the CHP said.
