BEREA, Ohio -- A spat between former Ohio State Buckeyes teammates has gone public.

Minnesota Vikings guard Alex Boone andCleveland Browns quarterbackTerrelle Pryor have gone back and forth in the past few days in a verbal to-do started by Boone.

In an interview with KFAN in Minneapolis last week, Boone was going through the list of quarterbacks who were on his teams at Ohio State. He pointed out that he blocked for Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smith as well as Todd Boeckmann.

Then he went to Pryor.

"Unfortunately I could not stand any minute with him," Boone said. "The kid was so arrogant at the time. I mean, I hated everything about him."

Pryor, after a measured reply to reporters, weighed in via Twitter on Monday with a more candid take.

"I don't know where that came from," Pryor said to media earlier in the day.

And he had not seemed inclined to say much more.

"When you're young -- and you guys know this, all of us -- you're different," he said. "You act different. Your mind is wired completely different. I'm 18 years old meeting this guy.

"I wish him well. That's all I have to say."
