Stolen car found submerged in water in Antioch

ANTIOCH, Calif. -- Authorities have retrieved a stolen vehicle that had been submerged in water in Antioch Thursday night, according to the Contra Costa Fire Protection District.

Crews responded around 9:30 p.m. to Fulton Shipyard Road, where the vehicle was found near a ramp leading into the water, firefighters said.

Crews attached a tow chain to the vehicle and removed it from the water by 11:23 p.m.

No one was found inside the vehicle, and there were no injuries were reported.
