Tony! Toni! Tone! perform holiday shows at Yoshi's in Oakland

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Back for the holidays and in the giving spirit, Oakland's own Tony! Toni! Tone! opens a four night set at Yoshi's in Oakland starting on Friday night.

Their first album went gold in 1988. In 2006, they regrouped and they've been touring the U.S. ever since.

Now the band's back in the Bay Area. But it's not all about the music for these locally grown musicians. They're also hosting a toy drive at each show.

"We are doing a toy drive, bringing the spirit of joy this season. Out of all the craziness that is happening, we want to give back," said D'wayne Wiggins, one of the band members.

The band says people can drop toys off at Yoshi's during each of their four shows. Part of the proceeds will go to the Nurse's Children's Association in Oakland.
