Fare hikes, Golden Gate Bridge toll increase now in effect in Bay Area

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The cost of getting around the Bay Area just went up for many of us.

Starting Sunday, the Golden Gate Bridge toll increased across the board by 25 cents.

Golden Gate Ferry fares went up between 25 or 50 cents each way, depending on route and whether riders use a clipper card.

Also on Sunday, AC Transit increased adult single-ride fares by 10 cents.
