SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Volunteers helped make San Francisco a little greener Saturday.

To help celebrate Earth Month the Friends of the Urban Forest teamed up with the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition to help plant trees in the city's Excelsior District.

Three dozen volunteers rode bikes to get to the different planting locations planting almost 30 trees.

The nonprofit will plant more trees later this month in the Lower Haight and Hayes Valley neighborhoods.
