AccuWeather Forecast: Light morning showers, heavier afternoon downpours with Wind Advisory

Takeaway of the Day
Rain is back today with light showers this morning and heavier downpours this afternoon. We will be at a level 2 on the ABC7 Exclusive Storm Impact Scale today. A Wind Advisory is also in effect today for wind gusts 30-55 mph.

The worst rain and wind will occur between noon and 6 p.m. today. Rainfall totals will range from .50" to 1" in most cities. Highs will be chilly in the 50s this afternoon.

This will also be a major winter storm for the Sierra where 1 to 3 feet of snow will fall above 4,000ft. Highest peaks could receive up to 4 feet.

The Look Ahead
Scattered showers and a dusting of snow on our highest peaks continue Thursday and Friday. Saturday is dry with showers back in the forecast Sunday evening.
