Takeaway of the Day
This week's warming trend is getting near its peak. Afternoon temperatures are rising into the upper 80s inland and mid 80s near the bay. Even coastal temperatures are in a mild range of low to mid 60s.
Going into the evening hours, the coast will cool rather quickly, but mild to warm weather will linger even after sunset near the bay and inland.

The Look Ahead
Tomorrow will bring the peak of warming in our current summerlike pattern. Inland temperatures will reach into the lower 90s, and highs near the bay will reach at least into the mid 80s, while coastal highs will range from upper 60s to mid 70s.
From late Friday into Saturday we can expect cooling at the coast, but the summerlike warmth will recede only gradually inland and near the bay.
And Sunday, Mother's Day, will bring lovely weather with bright, sunny skies and high temperatures ranging from lower 60s at the coast to upper 70s around the bay to upper 80s inland.
