3.1 magnitude quake strikes near The Geysers

The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.1 struck Sunday morning in Sonoma County.

According to the USGS, the temblor rattled an area around The Geysers at about 2 a.m.

The quake was centered about half a mile south-southeast from The Geysers and 12 miles east of Cloverdale with a depth of 2.1 miles, according to the USGS.
