The leak was reported at 10:48 a.m. on a small residential line near 43rd Avenue and Irving Street, PG&E spokesman Joe Molica said.
A construction crew working in the area apparently sawed through the line, prompting the evacuation of a couple of nearby buildings, Molica said.
PG&E crews responded and capped the leak by 11:44 a.m., he said.
Crews remained on site this afternoon working to make final repairs to the line and to restore service to the home, Molica said.
