PLEASANTON, Calif. (KGO) -- At least seven people were arrested at the Alameda County Fair last night after a fight broke out, according to the Alameda County Sheriff's Department.
The Department says almost everyone arrested was between 15 and 20-years-old. Officers had to use pepper spray and batons to break up the melee.
"We did deploy batons during a couple of incidents where continued aggression and fighting continued even though police were there -- making demands for parties to separate," said Alameda County Sheriff's Captain Colby Staysa.

The captain says the violent incidents were unusual, but not without precedent at the Alameda County Fair. In 1998 a shooting incident wounded eight people and sent a stampede of people running. Eight more fairgoers were injured trying to get out of the way.
Last night's issues were limited to fighting and no one was seriously injured. The juveniles taken into custody were released to their parents, the adults went to jail.
