Snow advisory canceled for Bay Area

A snow advisory for the higher elevations of the North Bay, East Bay, and Santa Cruz mountains issued Thursday morning was canceled today at about 7:15 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Snow levels are reportedly higher than 3,500 feet and are expected to climb to 5,000 feet as a warm front moves along the coast, the weather service reported.

When snow levels drop below 3,000 feet snow advisories are issued, according to the weather service.
