A Sig-alert for off-ramps from U.S. Highway 101 in Brisbane have reopened after a three-alarm grass fire caused their closure for more than two hours this afternoon, a California Highway Patrol Officer said.

The home was threatened by a fast-moving brush fire that broke out early Tuesday afternoon on San Bruno Mountain in Brisbane.

Air tankers, helicopters and 19 fire engines helped keep the flames from reaching a house at the high end of Bayshore Road, very visible from 101.

The three-alarm fire topped out at about seven acres and no evacuations were ordered.

The fire is expected to be completely under control by 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.
