Five guests stabbed at wedding
FREMONT, CA Around 9 p.m. the six to eight males reportedly crashed the
reception at the hall, located at 37270 Niles Blvd.
A fight broke out when the uninvited guests were asked to leave,
police said.
The fight spread into the parking lot, but by the time police
arrived, the suspects had fled the scene.
All five stabbing victims and a sixth victim who sustained head
trauma were transported to area hospitals. Four of the victims suffered major
injuries, according to the Fremont Fire Department.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Fremont
Police Department at (510) 790-6800.
A double shooting at the same banquet hall in February, also
during a wedding reception, left one person dead and another injured.
That shooting was thought to be gang-related, police said at the
time.
