SF power restored after outage

SAN FRANCISCO

A fire on a power pole in San Francisco's Mission District caused the outage, as well as an outage in Daly City that has also since been restored, PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said.

The San Francisco Fire Department responded to several fires on power poles this morning, the first in the 3900 block of Cesar Chavez Street at about 5:20 a.m. and the second at Hyde and Filbert streets just before 7 a.m., a dispatcher said.

No injuries were reported.

Dew on the power lines is believed to have started the fires, according to the dispatcher.
