Supervisors meeting changed for mistake

Tuesday's scheduled meeting of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors has been canceled, because it was not announced in the newspaper.

Law requires city meetings be listed in advance, but the San Francisco Examiner made a mistake and did not print the notice in its weekend paper.

San Francisco spends about $73,000 a year to publish meeting notices.

City officials say the Examiner's publisher apologized and said the mistake was because of operator error. The supervisors meeting will be held Wednesday at 2:00 pm instead.
