San Jose 101 lanes reopened

A man was taken into custody shortly after 9 a.m. today after he was reported to be standing on the McKee Road overpass in San Jose, closing several lanes of southbound U.S. Highway 101, police said.

A Sig-alert for the area was canceled at 9:14 a.m., according to the CHP.

Police received a call at 6:47 a.m. of an unarmed male on the McKee Road overpass, forcing the closure of the southbound Nos. 1, 2 and 3 lanes of Highway 101 at East Julian Street.

The man was taken into custody by San Jose police and will be transported to Emergency Psychiatric Services, police said.
