SF hosts second solar energy fair

SAN FRANCISCO

The fair, held from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Eureka Valley Recreation Center at 100 Collingwood St., will allow attendees to meet with city program staff, solar installers and other agencies offering solar rebates.

The GoSolarSF program, announced by Mayor Gavin Newsom and Assessor Phil Ting and signed into law in June, offers San Francisco residents, businesses and non-profit organizations thousands of dollars in savings on a solar installation.

The program gives up to $6,000 to homeowners wishing to install solar panels and up to $10,000 for businesses and nonprofits.

The third and final Solar Energy Fair will take place on August 9 at 10 a.m. at the Ella Hill Hutch Recreation Center at 1050 McAllister St.
