Bar lost liquor license after patron assaulted

A San Jose bar has had its alcoholic beverage license suspended for one month after three bar employees assaulted a patron, the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control announced today.

Three employees of Toon's, located at 52. E. Santa Clara St., assaulted a bar patron on Monday, San Jose police said. The Police Department and ABC investigated the incident.

Under the terms of the suspension, alcoholic beverages cannot be sold, served or consumed at Toon's until Aug. 27, according to the ABC.
