More BART trains scheduled for this weekend

Longer Bay Area Rapid Transit trains will be running today to accommodate the thousands of sports fan attending a baseball game in San Francisco and a football game in Oakland.

The San Francisco Giants play the San Diego Padres at 1 p.m. in AT&T Park, and the Oakland Raiders will play the Arizona Cardinals at 6 p.m. in the Oakland Coliseum. Trains with additional cars will be running on regular schedules in anticipation of larger crowds, according to BART.

Because of longer lines at ticket booths, BART personnel will also be selling round-trip tickets and flash passes at the Dublin/Pleasanton and Freemont stations as well as the Coliseum/Oakland Airport station to save riders time.
