Hwy. 12 ramps closed for work

SANTA ROSA, CA

The ramps will be closed again during the same hours next weekend. The closures are part of the U.S. Highway 101 widening and interchange improvement project along the Santa Rosa corridor.

Caltrans had planned to close the ramps at the busiest intersection in the Santa Rosa corridor for 10 business days starting Aug. 20 but devised the alternate weekend closures to minimize impacts to motorists and the surrounding area, Caltrans spokeswoman Alicia Sequeira said.

Caltrans also is closing the Highway 12 eastbound connector ramp to southbound U.S. Highway 101 today between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. as crews work in the area, Sequeira said. The connector ramp will close again between 8 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday so crews can continue working, Sequeira said.

Motorists can expect minimal delays at detour routes on northbound Highway 101 during both weekends, Sequeira said.
