All lanes of Bay Bridge reopened

All lanes of westbound Interstate Highway 80 on the Bay Bridge have been reopened following a crash that snarled traffic earlier this morning.

A pickup truck crashed and overturned at about 6:40 a.m. on the bridge's incline, blocking the two far right lanes.

A Sig-alert was issued at about 6:45 a.m. and was cancelled at 7:21 a.m. when the lanes were cleared.

California Highway Patrol Officer Peter Van Eckhardt said around 8 a.m. that traffic on the bridge was flowing freely but that there was still a backup east of the metering lights.
