Just after 9 p.m., police responded to the report of a death at an apartment in the 300 block of Stony Point Road. Responding officers and medical personnel discovered the body of the woman, according to Sgt. Paul Henry.
Neighbors told police the woman, whose identity has not been released, lived in the apartment alone.
An initial investigation showed there was no sign of forced entry into the apartment.
