The victim was walking on Church near Mantelli Avenue between 7:30 and 8 p.m. when a white four-door car pulled up and someone inside opened fire with a handgun, police said.
The victim ran to nearby Las Animas Park and called a family member, who picked him up and drove him to the hospital.
The victim was treated and released.
