BART's governing board approved a plan last night to charge $1 for parking at stations in South San Francisco, San Bruno, Millbrae, San Leandro and Castro Valley.
A $1 increase is planned for two other lots. After the increase, commuters would end up paying $2 to park at the Colma station, and $3 at the Daly City station. Other revised budget measures include backing away from a previous plan to replace seats and carpeting on 100 BART train cars.
