All lanes of Dumbarton Bridge clear

All lanes of eastbound state Highway 84 on the Dumbarton Bridge in Alameda County reopened around 7:45 a.m. today, more than an hour after a multi-vehicle crash left the roadway blocked, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision, involving a van and large trailer that was being towed by a truck, was reported at about 6:30 a.m. just east of the high rise on the bridge, CHP Officer A. Paulson said.

One person who was trapped inside one of the vehicles reportedly needed to be extricated.

A Sig-alert issued at 6:45 a.m. was lifted at 7:48 a.m.
