Chemical accident at SF DEA lab

The South of Market office, which houses a Drug Enforcement Agency laboratory, as well as other government offices and labs, was evacuated following an explosion.

Red phosphorous being used for drug testing ignited a small fire and spread gas throughout the building.

There were no reports of injuries, but firefighters could be seen hosing themselves and their equipment down with water after exiting the building.
