KGO radio to a step towards going green Thursday when they transitioned to solar power. KGO became the first major broadcast station in California to reach listeners by harnessing the power of the sun.
On the Ronn Owens show, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi flipped the switch that turned on the studio's new solar panels. They will generate clean, renewable energy and reduce the station's dependence on the traditional power grid.
