Despite the rain it's looking a lot like Christmas at Oakland's Jack London Square.

The holiday season kicked off Monday with the delivery of a 55-foot fir tree from Mount Shasta. It's one of the first big trees to arrive in the Bay Area this season.

Jack London Square's tree lighting ceremony is scheduled for November 28th. It's now in its 17th year and has become a family tradition in Oakland.

The tree will be lit with energy efficient bulbs.
