A team of more than 100 lawyers has been dispatched to San Francisco to help the election go smoothly.
They will take calls from concerned voters from around the West Coast. They'll be on hand to help with issues ranging from the mundane, such as where to find your local polling station, to the more sinister.
"If any one experiences voter intimidation, any dirty tricks about them getting the wrong information about where to vote, when to vote, we want those calls to come here so that we can keep track of that," said Sujal Shah, from Bingham McCutchen LLP.
