The bullet train, which was due to leave San Jose at 7 a.m. and arrive in San Francisco at 8 a.m., was canceled due to mechanical problems. The cancellation has caused some northbound trains to run between 10 and 30 minutes late, Dunn said.
Train No. 215 is running half an hour behind schedule and train No. 217 is about 11 minutes late.
Dunn said those trains are crowded because they are picking up passengers who ordinarily take canceled train No. 315.
